Clifton, 319 W 5th St, Clifton, TX 76634, USA
About the Event
Drawing the figure is one of the most challenging subjects because there are so many things to get right like proportion and contours and making it look life-like, not stiff. We will cover every facet and learn ways to build a figure from the inside out. And beyond that, we will explore how having a motivating idea instead of just copying what you see can create a powerful artistic expression and greater impact on your audience.
Supplies to bring:
- a sketchbook bigger than 9x12 and layout pencils (Prismacolor Ebony is a good brand)
- a sharpener for them
- a Pink Pearl eraser.
In addition, but not necessary, you can bring:
- other kinds of erasers and drawing pencils
- Conte crayons (sanguine, sepia, white and/or black), etc. small, medium and large stumps (also call tortillions) for blending and softening lines.
We will have a 1-hour break for lunch. Bring a sack lunch, or purchase lunch from one of the restaurants downtown.
