General Drawing Workshop (Workshop B)

This is a detailed overview of the many aspects of drawing that an artist gets to master, including skills like finding a great idea, deciding which visual information to use, getting proportion and placement correct, and many others.  Feel free to bring any small objects or photos you would like to draw.  We will explore ways to structure our time so that we are growing as artists.

Supplies to bring:

• a sketchbook bigger than 9x12 and layout pencils (Prismacolor Ebony is a good brand)
• a sharpener for them
• a Pink Pearl eraser.

In addition, but not necessary, you can bring:

• other kinds of erasers and drawing pencils
• charcoal
• Conte crayons (sanguine, sepia, white and/or black), etc. small, medium and large stumps (also call tortillions) for blending and softening lines.

We will have a 1-hour break for lunch. Bring a sack lunch, or purchase lunch from one of the restaurants downtown.
